Formation of Oman International Bank

On 1st of January, 1984 Oman International Bank, the first 100% Omani owned commercial bank was born. Arab African International Bank sold its 60% shareholding, which was negotiated and purchased by H.E. Dr. Omar Bin Abdul Muniem Al Zawawi on behalf of himself and his original founder partners, H.E. Mohamed bin Musa Al Yousef and the late Qais Bin Abdul Muniem Al Zawawi and others who were individually invited to participate.
