Oman International Bank S.A.O.G came into
existence on 1st January, 1984 and became the first 100% Omani owned commercial bank in
the Sultanate of Oman.
We now have the largest network of
branches in Oman with 82
 branches in
the country and 4 overseas branches at Mumbai and Cochi in India and Karachi
& Lahore in Pakistan.
OIB is known as an innovative bank with a
long list of firsts to its name, the first bank in the Gulf region to offer mobile banking
service, the first Omani bank to issue a Visa Card, and the only bank in Oman currently
offering unique Phone Banking service. Also being the only bank at present in Oman which
enjoys the advantages of having a fully automated branch network.
A lot of credit to where the bank stands
today goes to the high level of staff motivation and commitment. This has been possible,
mainly due to the unrelenting staff development efforts and inspiring leadership from out
founder H.E. Dr. Omar Abdul Muneim Al Zawawi, Board of Directors and members of the
senior management team.
